Date: 2008-06-15 08:01 pm (UTC)I don't want the government to be performing ceremonies anyone connects the word "sanctity" to, any more than I want school prayer or politicizing from a pulpit. there's more to separation of church and state than just endlessly objecting to having a brief prayer at the beginning of state-sponsored events.
