The newer machines have ramping featuers that make it much easier to get used to them, but I barely bother with that now I'm used to it. Besides trying different masks etc., you can also have the pressure levels adjusted for you and get a different humidifier. Up here, Kaiser tends to send you to get a machine with cold humidifier. If yo find your sinuses are getting dried out & bloody nosies, ask for a humidifier that warms the water instead. That wets the air much more, I found it extremely helpful myself.

Date: 2007-08-14 08:38 am (UTC)After a chat with friend whose symtoms nearly matched mine and his vast improvement with a CPAP machine, I finally talked to my doctor.
One thing I do love about Kasier, they will send you for a consult at your request if you c/l/a/i/m/ show any symptoms that justify the refferal.
