My ISP Must be Crazy - Part Trois
Aug. 15th, 2006 05:06 pmNo, no huge increase in storage or bandwidth this time.
A new account, teaser 25% discount rate, that lasts for a full *year*.
New accounts only, unless you are upgrading.
No discount for me, I already have a Developer account.
Blatant advertising plug. All the links to 1 and 1, include my affiliate link, so that if you use the link and purchase an account, I get a commission. Thanks.

Date: 2006-08-16 06:26 pm (UTC)At your home, how do you get to the 'net? For my mom's place I had dsl through an independent company using SBC (now AT&T) lines, but now I want other options. Well, not dial-up.

Date: 2006-08-16 08:21 pm (UTC)We use Comcast cable modem service, into a basic wireless router (talk me or your other geeky friends about making it secure first) to share the connection between multiple systems. It has issues, but is mostly stable.
Speakeasy gets high marks from lots of folks.
I have friends who are complaining bitterly that their DSL now sucks after the merger of SBC & ATT
