johnoChris and I stopped by the local Toyota dealer,
put down our $500 deposit,
filled out the credit forms,
and got on the list for a new Prius.
2005 Prius

Date: 2004-09-24 04:50 pm (UTC)1st gen wasn't so bad.
2nd gen, I find to be very good.
(I've driven a friend's on a road trip.)
Road trip to Sacramento we got 40mpg, but then again we were cruizing at 75-80mph. If we stayed around 60mph the instant mpg was around 50mpg.
10-15 days and we'll have our own numbers to report.
