iPad thoughts...
Jan. 27th, 2010 01:15 pmOf course, the first one is:
I WANT!
Looks cool and does most everything I want in a midrange product at a good price point.
This could be the Kindle killer and makes the Nook irrelevant.
Things that pundits have already pointed out:
No multitasking. All demos were of single tasks.
Existing apps look odd. Either lost on the screen or doubling the pixels makes text odd.
Things I'm wondering about:
What's it like to type on the screen?
It has bluetooth, does it support wireless keyboards
Can you access eternal devices. ie: external hard drives or card readers.
Built in web cam? They seem to be a standard feature on most new laptops and netbooks.
Email & calendaring? Built in or are they accessing iMac, Google or other services
Has iPhoto, but only showed displaying photos, does it have editing/managing capability.
Can it access storage on the net? Either local (network/media drives) or in the "cloud"?
