Reading through candidate position information and read this one:
Jim King
Candidate for
Lieutenant Governor; State of California
{snip, snip}
Top Priorities if Elected
* return God to govt. & schools. we are "one nation under God".
Which God? Which religion?
California was and is build on a multiculturalism that extends well beyond skin color, wealth (or lack there of) or where you came from. Trying to place any one vision above another is ludicrous in this society.

So you might say multiculturalism is the ability of different groups to live together without killing each other with machetes and AK-47s. Progress, of a sort.
