Yesterday I was passed an issue to investigate and post my results by end of day.

My report was in the form of:

I did.
I saw.

I request Person1 do this.
I request Person2 do that.

Even without the results of Person1's and Person2's tasks,
I recommend we do config change1,
If that doesn't work, we need to also do config change2.

Person2 responds: "So what do you recommend?"
