johnoAside from being really full, I noticed today that I missed a anniversary last week and have another coming up at the end of this week.
1/14/2001 - Started at Kaiser
2 years of evolution and growth, but no major changes.
Except to accept the slower pace of corporate life. During my first year I would often have 1-on-1s with my supervisor and manager worried about how long tasks and projects were taking. Only to have them all but pat me on the head and say "there, there", as they told me over and over "you'll get used to it".
1/23/1984 - Joined the USAF
Wow, 20 years since I joined up.
Life changing in so many ways, but in others, it didn't seem to change me at all.
I know I would never have my current circle of friends and loved ones, if I had never had joined.
I would never have lived in Colorado or Australia, and probably would not have ended up in San Francisco.
Yet I know would still be a Science Fiction fan, going to cons every chance I got.
I'd still be doing computers.
I'd still be online.
