Harry Potter Release Party

johnoOur copy will be arriving tomorrow, but we attended the release party at our local Borders anyway.
Crowded, but not as crazed as we thought it might have been.
The store remained open, so everybody waiting was inside wandering the store. Bright idea on the store's part. We saw lots of folks buying other books and long lines at the cafe. You checked in and recieved a ticket with you purchase order number.
When midnight struck, they rolled out several carts of the books to much fanfare and excitment.
I saw no one attempting to grab them off the cart.
Perhaps it was the staff dressed as HP characters.
The first person to recieve their copy was very excited.
And very proud to show it off.
Our friend K, also picked up her copy as well:
And several of Harry's class mates were there too:
