in this archive is a fabbo photo of a teen harlan jumping out and saying BOO to eric's dad.
ah, here it is.

we printed that for Steve, don't think he knew it existed. Eric was telling me what big geeks his pedigree held, and i though "hmm" and being a girl of the 21st century i took the search online. this fanac.org thing is a really amazing archive.

my dad was shooting cap guns in 1950. eric's dad was being annoyed by Harlan Ellison. i'm SO jealous...

You know, its the fact that we map our current image of the gentlemen, to the images of them as young men that causes our brains to swim.

The image is not that much different then some of the family photos of my uncles that I inherited from my Mom.
