This sort of thing comes around every so often and while [livejournal.com profile] nchanter is a little blunt about it, she has a point.

Hey Folks,

My Journal, my entries, deal with it.

Most of the time it's light high level stuff, fun and games, day to day activities, so I don't really care what people think about it.

I don't mind corrections of facts, critiques (when I ask for them), or requests for privacy, but please don't call me to task for simply posting about something. My thoughts, feelings or deeds are mine alone, I just sometimes share them.

What?

Did I MISS some interesting, or offending rant? Dammit! I hate when that happens.

Nope, it's just that whenever the "It's My Journal Damnit" Meme has made the rounds before, I sort of ignored it. As I rarely posted and when I did start posting it was really light stuff.* So putting a disclaimer on my journal was not needed.

Recently I've started to put real meat in the ocassional journal entry. As they touch emotional, sexual or even (a line I haven't crossed yet)political content, I felt the need set the disclaimer.

* June 2000, joined LJ just read a couple of friend's journals.
I soon found out about communities.
Dec 2001 I finally posted something when folks started asking me why I didn't have any entries.
June 2002 Now I have 200+ friends and post somthing almost daily.
