Pinhole view was too small, so I looked directly at it through 3 layers of sunglasses (2 were polarized).

Yeah, it was stupid, but I could clearly see the bite.

If you want to see some pics taken of it by one of the folks in #callahans, go to http://www.darkmare.pittsburgh.pa.us/eclipse/ He used cd's to take the pics through. It actually came out pretty decent.

Nice pictures.

Did anyone on the west coast get pictures of the "eclipse-set"? I'd be curious to see a setting eclipsed sun, and I gather that some people might have been in a position to get this.

Not that I know of, but you might want to check out the astronomy pic of the day site, they might have something like that Its at http://antwrp.gsfc.nasa.gov/apod/
