He was in the hospital this weekend with weakness associated with his congestive heart failure. He had an heart attack on the 3rd. He passed away today.

I heard about the heart attack in an unrelated thread on Making Light, but the last update I'd seen at SFScope was that he was resting at home and receiving cards.
