As of 11:40am, plus "many" provisional & hand carried absentee balots. My precinct usually has less then 50 by Noon.

No line or wait for a booth, but there was always someone in process. Paper ballots, connect the arrows, which is my preferance.

I expect most of my friends to know how I voted on the big stuff.

DSR and I were 270 and 271 for our precinct at 9am, with a constant line of about 20 waiting. Our city clerk said 2800 people voted by absentee. I think the whole turnout for the September primary was about 5000.

I think we have about 20,000 registered voters in my town.

I had my absentee ballot ready this morning, grabbed a parking place where I could see them open the door to the polling place, walked past the line, and watched the poll worker finish locking the ballot box so I could be the first ballot in it in my polling place. Way cool! I also got the very first "I voted" sticker, walked back out past the crowd and went to work, only arriving 8 minutes late.

That was very satisfying. I heard on the news yesterday that in some places you have to wait in line to turn in your absentee ballot at a polling place, and people were willing to wait for hours. I'm so glad California doesn't make you do that, but I faithfully promise that next year I will get mine in early.
