Taiko Drumming!

Newark Adult Education
TAIKO Classes

Learn the festival drumming styles of traditional
Japan while developing timing, rhythm, and
balance. No experience is needed and you must
be over 12 years old to participate.



Taiko Basic I & II -- 7-9pm

Basic II Tuesday Sept 16 - Dec 9
Basic II Wednesday Sept 17 - Dec 10
Basic I Thursday Sept 18 - Dec 11
Basic I Friday Sept 19 - Dec 12

At least 2 or 3 sessions of Basic I are required to move up to Basic II.

Registration Fee: $60
Materials Fee: $25 (payable to instructors)

Yes, but we've seen them perform & they seem to be pretty good. They also did a ... would you call it a duet? ... with an Indian dance troupe that was all sound & color

The first Friday class will taught by Andrea and whoever is not going to Taiko Camp. Plus all the classes are still running on a drop in basis.


We may be late to very late to the party. We have a wedding reception to attend. Tara and Kelly of Chaos are getting married this Friday at SF City Hall
