It's based on a comic book, so don't look to deep for plot or characterization.

However, the action sequences were great. With some of the byplay quite fun.

couple of spoiler quotes...

I'm not a baby, I'm a tumor.

I'm going to be Father.

It is definitly a movie full of homages.

Either that or they ripped off at least a dozen other stories/movies/tv shows...

I thought it was "I become... Father?", but yeah, it was a great line.

I still think my favorite is "You're in love. Have a beer."

I'm not entirely happy with the changes they made to Abe's personality, but I personally loved the movie. It didn't have the same grim, Cthonian-overtoned and gothic feel as the first, but that's to be expected when dealing with the Fair-Folk, I guess.

And who can not love a movie in which a Barry Manilow tune actually works in context?

As much as any Barry Manilow tune can work?

The really scary thing is...

...I had to suppress my urge to sing along.

Even more scary...

...I DID hear folks in the audience singing along.

I, of course, never had a clue what the lyrics were.

Nope, not me.

Oh, and am I the *only* one who noticed the John Landis reference in the film?
