which hotel did you book in for worldcon?

We have 2 reservations.

A King at the Crown Plaza, but both Housing and the Hotel have us listed as wanting a double when the dust settles.

We have a double at the Adams Mark, but despite being the party & filk hotel, we rather be closer to the convention hotel and pay a bit less..

Ah! Worldcon is coming to Denver! OMG!!! ... but it's over my birthday and since I was gone on New Year's I should probably be here for birthday 'cause there's no way he'd go to Colorado again. Bummer. But if TNH, PNH or other Making Light people are going to be there, I might go anyway. I <3 the good people of Making Light.

Also: Lois McMaster Bujold was the GoH at MileHiCon 31 (1999). I roomed with someone who attended just to see her and tell her he named his children after characters from, um, I forget which book. But he was really sweet and earnest, which was nice after the gaming debacle that was MHC31. (The gaming coordinator went AWOL the day of setup. Bad scene there.)

I haven't been to MHC since 1986 and actually have not kept up with happenings at the con.

It always was run a bit hap-hazardly.

Missed one! VintaCon is also in October. I think we are going to die from too many conventions in October.
