and excitement of
Japanese Taiko Drumming!


Learn the festival drumming styles of traditional Japan while developing timing, rhythm and balance. No experience is needed and you must be over 12 years old to participate.

At least 2 sessions of Basic I is required before moving up to Basic II

Is Basic I really supposed to be given AFTER the Basic II classes are finished?

The classes run concurrently. Basic I just happens to be on Thursdays.

The 2 Basic II classes occur on Tue & Wed.


Usually it's 2 Basic I classes (Tue & Thur) and 1 Basic II (Wed), but its been a good year with many students ready to move up from I to II.

I'm been taking classes here for a year and half now. I found out about the classes through the original teacher at the dojo, when he was the doing music at for a community theatre production.

By the time we go around to actually signed up for the classes, he had retired to family land in Alabama.
