Some badges were longer than others, with at least one badge long enough that it deserved its own special picture. What's up with that? Why are some badges longer than others?

Cause the ribbons are things you collected throughout the weekend and some people looked more strenuously than others.

Hopefully that person won something for having such a long badge. I'd hate to spend an entire convention on a scavenger hunt and lose. :-)

actually...she had the great fortune to *not* be chair next year ^_^ that picture is of the chair for baycon '07. and she actually *earned* all of those ribbons. she didn't just go hunting them down.

It's the whole ribbon sharing fad.

The special photo was of Sabre the chairbabe of Baycon. She had, IIRC, 162 ribbons, and no she didn't have them all. Her's was normally rolled up.

Mine went from shoulder to just below my knees. I just posted the list of mine.
