Great Day
Hot, tired, sun burned, wind burned, but damn it was a good day.
9 different Taiko groups, sake, good food, stuff to buy, the 2007 Morgan Hill Haru Matsuri Festival was blast.
New music, new drums, new performers, new combinations.
It was a bit intimidating for Wadaiko Newark to be opening the day's activities and to be followed by for San Jose Taiko, but the group rose to the occasion and played marvelously.
After the break of watching SJ Taiko, Wadaiko was back onstage combined with Emeryville Taiko for their opening song. From how tight the choreography and playing was, you'd think the group's had been playing together for months, rather then a single rather short joint rehearsal yesterday.
