re: St. Patrick's Day.
Mar. 17th, 2007 01:37 amJust a couple of quick comments.
1) I do enjoy the music and festivities of the day, but I only attend them every 2-3 years.
The crowds are far to big, loud and rowdy for me to enjoy the festivities.
2) My name is O'Halloran, I have no need to wear wear green to prove that I'm irish.
3) I love celtic music, but not what most folks call "irish" music.

Date: 2007-03-17 11:39 pm (UTC)2) My name is Connors. I have no need to wear green to prove I'm Irish. Green is my favorite colour, though. (I wrote a song about being Irish when one doesn't fight, drink, or celebrate St. Paddy's Day).
3) I love Celtic music and a fair bit of what you might call "Irish" music. But our band only played "Danny Boy" or "When Irish Eyes are Smiling" after we had pocketed substantial tips. I don't like a lot of the fightin' drinkin' rowdy war sorts of songs.
