Just a couple of quick comments.

1) I do enjoy the music and festivities of the day, but I only attend them every 2-3 years.

The crowds are far to big, loud and rowdy for me to enjoy the festivities.


2) My name is O'Halloran, I have no need to wear wear green to prove that I'm irish.


3) I love celtic music, but not what most folks call "irish" music.

on the crowds thing...

I will typically go to a Mexican restaurant on St. Patricks Day and to an Irish Restaurant on Cinco De Mayo. I avoid he crowds that way ;)

In my neck of the woods, on St. Pat's day, Mexican restaurants are really busy. They have lunch, beer and marguie specials :).
