That's a little scary. I thought I'd be the only one sticking my head in here to express my delight at the Professor Fate icon. :{)}

AMC (i think) just recently ran the movie again and my 20 minute break from yard work turned into a 2 hour plus break.

So I had to go looking for pics and icons. ;)

Alas, no good sized pics of Max.

Many transit systems use this style of map to show routes, where they intersect and major stops along the way.

It respresents relations of routes, rather then actual paths and distances.

This style is not only NOT to scale, but radically misrepresents the distance between points.

Just look at I5, if this really was to scale. San Francisco would be in the NW.

I like!

It is scary how much of that was already in my head. I grew up in the car-trippin' generation.

I have lots of the map in my head too, but not the true relationships.

I can also see the history, politics and design considerations of the time in the layout.

Now that is neat! I like it. It makes sense, which is the scary part. But I just did 5 to 15 to 40 to Oklahoma City this summer, so just recently been there, done that. Well, actually there is a non-Interstate shortcut between 5 and 15 (at about where th 5 and 15 line up) so you dont have to go all the way into LA. This is a Good Thing. :)
