Little Dorothy Gale of Kansas, like so many girls her age, dreams of what
lies over the rainbow. One day a twister hits her farm and carries her
away over the rainbow to another world. Come join Dorothy, the Scarecrow,
the Tinman, the Cowardly Lion and Toto as they travel the universe of
Dorothy's imagination.

THE WIZARD OF OZ includes the songs "Over The Rainbow," "Munchkinland (Ding Dong! The Witch Is Dead)," "If I Only Had A Brain," "If I Only Had A Heart," "If I Only Had The Nerve," "We're Off To See The Wizard (Follow The Yellow Brick Road)," "The Jitterbug," and "The Merry Old Land of Oz." The RSC version also includes "Poppies (Optimistic Voices)" and "If I Were King Of The Forest."

This much loved musical will be presented to audiences from September 8th through the 23rd, 2006. Click for ticketing information or call (510) 791-0287. Click for a cast list!

The two links to Stage 1 -- ticketing info and cast list -- were relative links, so now they point to your LJ.

Didn't recognize any of the usual suspects -- anyone else involved this time around besides [livejournal.com profile] chriso that I'd recognize?

Andrea P. is a Munchkin and Poppy flower. Poor little wannabe goth girl is stuck in PINK as one of the Lullabye League dancers. Then she has to dress like a flower!

It's okay, it'll help her be more emo I'm sure.

"Transported to a surreal landscape, a young girl kills the first woman she meets, then teams up with three complete strangers to kill again."

This allegedly was a TV listing for "The Wizard of Oz" from a Marin newspaper.

Having read the book "Wicked" and seen the musical "Wicked", I can never watch Wizard of Oz again, without thinking that Dorthy & crew are just pawns for a very wicked political Wizard.

The pics look great, as do the costumes. Nice job Chris. My theatre company just started rehearsals for Wizard. We will be opening in mid October. We still gotta figure out those costumes. That is one of the tough parts. But hey, my son Patick got cast as the Scarcrow! I'm a Muchkin, the Coroner, (but you probably knew that)

Break a leg on your show! Again, nice costumes! I always say we need more fan costumers involved with local theatres. Kathy Sanders used to costume for our local melodrama and did a costume for our Fiddler production.

Brings back memories. In 1986, I was the Cowardly Lion in a production in Fremont. I believe the company split and one portion became Stage 1. Truly embarassing videos online here

Break a leg, y'awl!
