Done The Impossible premiered at Wondercon last night.

"Done the Impossible" tells the story of the rise and fall and rebirth of the cult TV show "Firefly,"
as told from the perspective of the fans who helped save it.

If has interviews with the cast and crew of the TV series Firefly and the movie Serenity, but the focus is on interviews of Firefly/Serenity fans. aka Browncoats.

It features many SF Bay Area Browncoats. Including [livejournal.com profile] _oy_ who has a brief interview and [livejournal.com profile] scendan working the SF Browncoats table at a convention (probably last year's Wondercon).

The producers were fairly certain that the film itself is done, but they still have the credits and DVD contents to complete. They lost a lot of sleep this week getting it ready for Wondercon.

I got to ask the last question: "Is my friend [livejournal.com profile] vixyish's version of Mal's Song going to be in the Extra's section of the DVD and/or on the soundtrack?"

A: "Funny you should ask..."

To end the session, they then played the music video with [livejournal.com profile] vixyish singing. Many folks who were leaving stopped in their tracks. Everyone seemed to be listening intently. And the applause at the end of the video was strong and sustained. I even got my credit at the end as the recording engineer. ;)

Speaking with the producers after the session ended, they all expressed how much they love Mal's Song and plan to include it on the DVD.

SQUEE! :)

Brian had emailed me to let me know it was going to premier at Wondercon (they'd asked my permission to use it, way back when-- and they even let me ramble a bit on their website, since I couldn't get to them to be interviewed), but last night I was so busy that I'd forgotten it was happening at the time.

I'm so glad you were there and got to ask the last question. That is just perfect. :D And I'm so happy that people liked it!

Jeremy Naish did such an amazing job on that video. And yes, when he first asked me how I'd like to be credited, I made sure to have him include you as the recording engineer. :)

Wo de ma! :) *all smiles*

(You didn't actually say "vixyish", right? ;))

Nope, I used you actual name. ;)

I also forgot to add, when I first mentioned you name. Several folks clapped and called out "Oh Michelle!" or similar expressions.
