My husband and I sit side-by-side in restaurants all the time. But if I went in to that restaurant with a sister or good female friend and we wanted to sit next to each other? Would they worry "OMG what if they're Teh Gayz No No?!?"
....Ridiculous and rude of that place. For any reason. If I saw a restaurant kicking out a same-sex couple for sitting side-by-side, I'd leave myself.
