That's funny. I made a Winnie-the-Pooh print shirt a few years ago for one of my friends that's into Hawaiian shirts. (I'll scan the print I used sometime, it's fairly muted and you have to look at it twice to be sure it's Pooh.)
I'm tiny and wear them because they're the only floral prints I like. Also, it confuses people to see a chick in a Hawaiian shirt and otherwise drab clothing holding the hand of a little kid that dresses in nothing but bright colors. (:
