Aren't those usually called a skirt?

[identity profile] johno.livejournal.com 2004-10-13 01:23 am (UTC)(link)
But it's for a guy you see, so it's not a skirt.

And since pants is plural, of course when it only has one leg it's a pant, singular.

See how that works?

{/sarcasm}

...a half-cassock?

Just sayin'

I don't care what they call it; a skirt is a skirt, a "one-legged pant" is a skirt, a "kilt" is a skirt, a "sarong" is a skirt (unless worn like a dress)....

Not to say that skirts can't look good on guys. But they're STILL skirts. XD

Old Northern Faire line:

T/u/r/k/e/y/ Customer: "Are you a Scotsman."

Me: "Nope! I'm Irish. We wear dresses*, the Scots wear skirts**."

* to avoid confusing the poor customers, the Irish guild was not allowed to wear English clothes with Celtic accessories (as they did in period), nor
were they allowed to wear plain kilts (as they also did in period), sw we were stuck actually wearing our underwear in public.

** in period times the Scots had not developed the family kilt colors or the full dress as most wore at faire either.

*** but then again, who ever claimed Faire was all that accurate to begin with. {grin}

I actually found a tartan claiming to be appropriate for the Irish half of my family, and was considering getting it and making a kilt out of it...

Until I found out it's 63 EB a SQUARE METER.

EGAD.

I had a feeling that I was going to see a skirt when I clicked that link.

But, but, THAT?

Okay, I admit, it still made me laugh.

By a fluke, I found out that this one actually worked for all the webmaster's sites:

www.xfusionmembers.com/members/katrina18/
tester:tester

I don't think there'll be any more passes for that site, so have fun!
