ET Phone Home!!!

Go see it, nuff said!

This is one of those movies that should be seen in the theater. The TV screen confines it to much. The outdoor scenes need the big screen to show their expansiveness and the performances of the actors needs the big screen to show the details.

It is classic Spielberg in that he manipulates your emotions shamelessly, but he does it so well you can't help crying on cue.

The updates are subtle and unless you know where they are easy to miss.

One more thing, despite reports to the contrary "penis breath" is still foulest language in the move

Sorry, but since he bowed to the politically correct pressure and turned the agents guns into walkie-talkies, I refuse to give him money. Sheesh.

Of the flaws in ET, this has always been the biggest one for me.

We are setup throughout the movie to think the government folks are the bad guys, then we are supposed to believe "Keys" is really a good guy, then the government boys take pretty extreme measures trying to recapture ET.

With or without guns, the goverment's role is ambiguous. In a fairy tale, roles should be black and white. In ET all the roles are B&W, except the governments.
