I've created a back dated entry (Jan 1 2000), with my contact info, chriso's contact info and close friends' contact info.

And added a banner announcing the ECI post to our userinfo.

This is the same info that gets posted to Silly and to my family. Most is findable with a little effort. However putting it all in one place makes it easy to find for the right people.

I'm more concerned that some of my cousin's systems will be hacked or virus infected and my info sucked out, then LJ being hacked or having a bad admin.

Let's put it this way - I'm with knaveofhearts - I'd rather deal with the the people who are geographically and emotionally closer to me than the LJ admins.
