The Next Right Thing

[livejournal.com profile] wordweaverlynn wrote this moving piece about how she & [livejournal.com profile] rmjwell went to San Francisco to volunteer & help process all of the marriage licenses at City Hall.

If SF City Hall does needs volunteers to help process licenses again, [livejournal.com profile] chriso and I will be there to help.

A couple of Polls on Same Sex Marriage:

Bottom right of the page: http://www.cnn.com/

Middle of Story: USA Today

Vote your heart and I hope it's an accepting one.

Ask [livejournal.com profile] feyandstrange - I think she has been volunteering this week.

I keep thinking I should just come up with Jim and do it again just to say we did it in the midst of all this. You and Chris game?

SF City Hall specifically asked that no volunteers show up today (tues), I havent' heard about the rest of the week yet.

I wish we hadn't had to be in Fresno for Gold Skate this weekend -- I would have been honored to have volunteered. If there is need, please count me in. My children also express supportive interest.

I am tempted to work up an a capella wedding music repertoire......... and I am more than a little surprised that various celebrities haven't wandered by City Hall to offer appropriate music.

I've contacted RJ and asked he contact me if he finds out that they need volunteers.

You may want to contact him as well.
