Why the sudden purchase?

We put our Prizm in for regular service. The brake light was flickering on sometimes, but no noises or brake problems. So we figured it just needed adjusting.

We had recently decided that both cars were old enough and needing major repairs, that if a repair crossed the $1K mark, we'd consider replacing it, instead of fixing it. The Prizm also has a history of brake repairs. So instead of throwing more money into it, that we may end up spending again in a few months, we decided to buy new.



The grey trim is also Salsa Red on "ours":

For Thanksgiving week, we are taking a road trip to Las Vegas (Baby!).

Depart Friday after work and a concert, drive to LV.
Live it up for 4 days.
Drive to Burbank for T-Day and Loscon.
Drive home on Monday, after the holiday rush.

Like your hair, it's a very nice red. ;)

It is not "Give me a ticket" red, it is a more sedate darker red.
