1 month to our departure (July 20th) and Interval has yet to come through with a timeshare for most of our stay.

jbriggs and galtine1, we for sure want to sub let your timeshare for the days just before Worldcon.

We may end up hitting the road from the Airport to S&J's place and just finding "Vacancies" as it get late enough to stop for the night.

Just so long as we don't have sleep in the heather.

The new Chaos member owns a time share thingie that allows him to go anywhere in the world. Gimme specifics and I'll see what he can do.

I don't know where exactly where you want, but he has two available right above Glasgow. He says for a one bedroom it will probably be between 250 and 350 for the week. If your plane tickets were more than about 350 and you can still cancel then there's that...

But he's not sure any of this can be done with only a months notice. He needs specifics so he can call in and check availability and such.

We've got you covered 30th - 5th...we're "throwing away" the overlapping days. Still cheaper than hotels!!

We need lodging for the 29th. Landing in Manchester, so we're looking for something inbetween. We are also looking for the 14th-17th. May just try our luck once we get there...not sure yet.

Sounds like that might be the way to go, I need to check with chriso and our notes first before we commit to anything.

Except for a couple of places that are way out of the way or don't read as that good, virtually anyplace in Scotland will work for us.

As residents of the western US, driving 4-6 hours to get anywhere is normal for us.

We got closing weekend at the theatre, a birthday party and pride parade to work this weekend, so we are a bit overbooked over the next 3 days.

Theres always youth hostels, although I wouldn't recommend the York hostel; the bed springs were hostile!

Wherever we end up, remember to pack light! We'll have to manage carrying all on the trains.

We like to wander off into the boonies, so we're renting a car for the time before the con.

Wed or Thurs of the con, I get to drive out to the airport, drop off the car, and find my way back to cybermat armadillo.

I've no doubt of your abilities with RHD autos on the Left Side of the road. Even though I lived in England for two years it was too young to drive, so we're sticking with the trains and taxi's.
