Friday was my Mom's birthday.
Today was the first anniversary of her passing.

Survived by attempting to ignore it.

Not the best way to deal, but it's what I ended up doing. (sigh)

Friday was also my Mom's birthday. She passed on 11 October 2001. I don't think there is any easy way to get through it.

I didn't know your mother had died. I'm sorry to hear that. I remember her from your wedding, and she seemed like a really nice person.

Fwiw, I often try to distract myself on anniversaries of my father's and grandparents' deaths.

Sunday, my great-great aunt turned 94.

Last Wednesday was the 6th anniversary of her husband's passing.

This Wednesday is the (4th? 5th?) anniversary of her sister's (my Nana).

What is it about the end of March? :-/

Ouch. I'm sorry to hear about your mom... anniversaries like that are always hard to deal with. Ignoring it isn't the best way to deal with it, but sometimes it's all you can do. I hope things get better for you soon.
