Speed Racer was intense visually.
Don't examine the plot to closely.
Shut off your brain and enjoy the ride.
It updates the cartoon, but keeps the feel of the orginal.
John Goodman waa spot on as Pops,
The chimp was a better actor then the kid playing Spritle.
